I love adore and miss Sonya so deeply. She was so loving and kind to me, invited me into creativity, wonder, joy. She has felt so close today, I came here to see pictures of her and realized today is her Birthday. Sonya, you were the brightest light and most beautiful creator I’ve ever known. You love in my heart always, and every time I create, I think of you, you are with me. Sonya, Happy Birthday, you beloved shining gift of a human, we all love you so!!

I was shocked and disappointed to find out yesterday that Sonya had passed away. I commissioned a large painting from her about 25 years ago. I saw her work in her gallery one day in San diego. I did not know her very well but I loved her artistic style. Her painting still hangs on my living room wall. It is my favorite possession. My deep condolences to all that new and loved her.
